Wachusett Garden Club Seed Swap

Please bring stashes of vegetable and/or flower seed to trade with others. You can bring any excess commercial seed you’ve over-purchased in the last year or two as well as any seed you’ve collected from your own garden.

Please bring all seeds in packets labeled with the type, variety and approximate date collected.

Note: it’s generally best practice to trade seed that’s no more than 2-3 years old, as seeds lose a percentage of their viability year-over-year. Older seeds may still germinate, but at a lower rate, so more seeds may be needed. Seed viability depends on the type of seed as well as the conditions in which they’ve been stored.
